Founded in 2024, Advancing Black Careers (ABC) is a pioneering student-led initiative at the University of Nottingham committed to closing the gap in specialist career services for students of Black heritage. As Co-Founder and Vice President of the inaugural committee, I played a key role in shaping the vision, strategy, and partnerships that define ABC’s mission today.

Our Mission

To empower Black and racially minoritised students through career readiness, professional development, and strategic access to leading industries. ABC was born out of necessity: to challenge underrepresentation and champion equity. We ensure that every student, regardless of background, sees themselves reflected in the future of work.
